If you have ever looked out to sea with envy at the surfers riding the waves, but you fancy something a little more...well...easy! Then SUP'ing is the water sport for you!

What is SUP'ing I hear you say? Well here is a little video to show you what you are missing.

This it the fastest growing board sport in the world apparently, and is an accessible sport that is genuinely suitable for all ages and ability.

SUP also has fantastic benefits for fitness and wellbeing; it’s great for cardio and works your core stability all of the time. As well as being part of wave riding surf style competitions, SUP can offer flat water racing which combines skill and fitness.

Some 'Islanders' paddle their boards from beautiful beach to beautiful beach with a picnic on board (requires excellent balance to avoid soggy sarnies! And strong swimming ability should you fall in) However if you are a beginner and fancy staying in one spot gently paddling around a bay then there is some wonderful (and affordable) tuition available for you on the Isle of Wight.

Isle of Wight Adventure Activities offer Tuition from 'The West Wight'

And Peddle 'n' Paddle are based further East.
