Tom’s Eco Lodge, started by Tom Turney in March 2012 (then aged 25), is situated on land owned by the Turney Family which is set on the site of the 1970’s Isle of Wight Festival. The five environmentally friendly “eco lodges”, offer holidaymakers the ultimate in eco-luxury.
The starting point for the project was a combination of passion for the Island (an affectionate term for the Isle of Wight), the farm and doing something fresh and exciting for people to enjoy.
Tom’s Eco Lodge caters for all types of holiday, from the adventurous or relaxed family holiday, a group get together, party or romantic hideaway. Guests can even book the whole site as well as use Tapnell Manor, the main farm house, for weddings and other major events. Please get in touch for Wedding or Event information- 01983 758729
Tom doesn’t confess to be an eco warrior here to change the world, but he does want to exist with a conscience and understanding about the impact our actions have. This is echoed at Tom’s Eco Lodge, which aims to offer a fresh Island experience with all the luxuries we now take for granted, but with the smallest negative impact possible. It will be a continuous journey of improving the way we impact the environment we live in. This is the environment in the broadest sense – socially, physically and ecologically.
The Isle of Wight is easily accessible from the UK mainland – within two hours from London – and boasts the most sunshine in the whole of the UK, allowing guests to visit the beautiful beaches and take walks around the stunning countryside.
The safari tents are open March through to October but the other accommodation is open year round.
