Fresh Eggs For Breakfast
Alexander The Honesty Bear - Looks after the shop.
Oh hello!
The farm is home to 500 dairy cows producing over 16,000 litres of wholesome fresh milk every day and spans over 400 acres of grass, woodland and wheat.
We have also planted over thirty acres of native amenity woodland and more than 4km of countryside hedging for the benefit of the wildlife and peoples pleasure. Particularly important, is our Isle of Wight provenance Small Leaf Lime trees. We are lucky enough to be looking after the only group of these trees left on the island and through careful management are increasing their numbers.
The Farm is a fantastic place to explore and learn, so don't forget your wellies!
Roam the Farm
The wonderful Team at Tapnell farm are always keen to share their knowledge and passion for the countryside with you.
Come rain or shine you can enjoy a farm tour and see how a farm really ticks.
You can see the cows milking, calves feeding and maybe even cows calving, if you're lucky.
We have also re-homed a number of battery hens at the farm who are now clucking around happily - fat, fluffy and free!
You are welcome to collect eggs each morning, fresh and delicious ex-battery free range! Pay a visit to see them camping in their very own hen caravan!

Enjoy Real Island Food
Here at Tom's Eco Lodges we are passionate about promoting the use of local and seasonal produce and we want you to enjoy all that the island has to offer. In 2013 we introduced our Honesty Larder to the farm, and since it has been very popular. This is the perfect place to stock up on some of those essentials. It also stocks those little luxuries such as wine, ale, ice lollies, sweets, jams and the usual tin of beans or tuna!
If there is something we don't have, there are several supermarkets very close (by car) which also stocks local produce including fruit and veg.
We are also pleased to offer home baked food created to order by Jo Boswell for the famous Garlic Farm 'Field Kitchen', and delivered to the Honesty Larder for your collection, perfect if you are arriving late, or fancy fully relaxing without having to cook.
